What ClaudeDevs said about billing

On 24 September 2026, Anthropic's ClaudeDevs account posted a billing clarification for Claude Code cloud sessions. Claude Code is Anthropic's coding agent: it reads a repository, edits files, and runs commands from the terminal, from editors such as VS Code, and from hosted cloud sessions that run remotely.

ClaudeDevs said cloud sessions run on a Pro or Max plan, like the rest of Claude Code. The same post set a spend order for a promotional credit: the promo is an optional one-time credit that cloud sessions spend first, before falling back onto normal plan usage.

Claude Code is included on every paid Claude plan and marked No on Free. Subscription stickers sit on claude.com/pricing. A Console login bills per million tokens at Anthropic’s API list rates. Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud’s Agent Platform, and Microsoft Foundry bill the cloud account per token; these pages do not publish those clouds’ token prices. The bill follows the credential you signed in with.
